Ah I think I have never seen this movie! I had it mixed up with The Ruling Class starring Peter O’Toole, which I think would make a fine double feature with The Magic Christian.
Synopsis: “A member of the House of Lords dies in a shockingly silly way, leaving his estate to his son (O’Toole). Unfortunately, his son is insane: he thinks he is Jesus Christ. The other somewhat-more respectable members of their family plot to steal the estate from him. Murder and mayhem ensues.”
Starts out comedy, gets darker and darker and darker.
A+, would gaze into abyss again.
