I agree with the positive comments on Schorr’s work, but I think NPR did him a disservice by keeping him on the air in the last few years. His commentaries became rambling and difficult to decipher, often not even making a point. It wasn’t a great way to go out, in my opinion. But I remember wtching him on TV in the 70s. He was very, very important during the Watergate era. It was the kind of journalism that has largely been stamped out.

Perhaps the end of an era when journalism and truth were even possibilities. I grew up listening to Daniel Schorr and I will miss him.
