Super Bowl Open Thread
ByThe Great American Holiday is upon us. I’m wearing pants made out of pretzels and sporting a fancy hard-hat beverage device.
While no judgement will be cast if you errantly support the city that stole a storied football team from old Baltimore, I urge you to consider the multiple character flaws you might accidentally embody by doing so.
Geaux Saints!
Use this thread for all your trash-talk and prediction needs.

I don’t care. In fact the amount I don’t care can only be measured by extremely tiny and expensive instruments that have to be special ordered from the year 1756, and as we all know, shipping is a bitch.

Now would be a perfect time to go to the movies. Surely the theaters won’t be full of beer-swilling, Velveeta-Chili-Dip-eating hoi polloi who laugh at farting horses and are suddenly Saints fans after years of ignoring them, including the season when Heath Shuler was a benchwarmer.
Besides, watching large men in tight pants jump all over each other is kinda… um… what’s the word I’m looking for?

My non-digital tv no longer recieves such tripe, a government benefit I can’t deny. Back to fun with pentatonic scales, my fingers needed a rest.

I bet there was a lot of P.O.’d people in King N.C. when there was no alcohol sales allowed today until the declaration was amended… http://www.wxii12.com/weather/22487153/detail.html

The New Orleans Saints are athletic, fraternal, strategic, disciplined, inspiring, exciting, and now they are Super Bowl Champions!
Even if you aren’t a football fan, you know it feels good to have New Orleans win one.

I caught about 15 seconds of the Who by accident. Does that count?

I can’t remember on which thread Jim Reeves was asking for a link to the CAFR ‘09.
Jim, if you’re listening, here it is: http://www.ashevillenc.gov/departments/finance/default.aspx?id=3824
