Sunday Morning Music: The Cold Song
By
Klaus Nomi performs The Cold Song, way back in 1982:
“What Power art thou, Who from below, Hast made me rise, Unwillingly and slow, From beds of everlasting snow! See’st thou not how stiff, how stiff, And wondrous old, Far unfit to bear the bitter cold. I can scarcely move, Or draw my breath, I can scarcely move, Or draw my breath. Let me, let me, Let me, let me, Freeze again…Let me, let me, Freeze again to death!”

Don’t cry MM. I was a veejay in a video dance bar in the mid-eighties. It’s overrated…
BTW, I think we screened this video, & someone said, “If we play this to a roomful of cokeheads, they’ll come up here & murder us…”

Hey is it just a coincidence that “Kristin”s avatar looks a lot like MM?
I just found that twenty years after it closed, my old dance club in Kansas City has a Facebook alumni group. Who said this internets thingie was a waste of time?
