City Council Meeting Tonight

Hiya, Hooligans.
As part of our ongoing experiment in making government more accessible and interactive, I’m going to have a City Council meeting thread here at ScruHoo for each Council session. You can watch on TV and leave your commentary, advice, derision, information, and non sequiturs at this thread.
Tonight’s agenda is a little light, but it ought to be fun nonetheless. Vice Mayor Brownie Newman will be running his first meeting since Mayor Bellamy is in Washington DC, and we three new councilfolks will be in our first meeting. City Attorney Oast promised me we’d muddle through, but don’t be surprised to see a few false starts and faux pas.
At some point I’d like to utilize some sort of moderated plug-in to do a proper live-blog the way we’ve done using CoverItLive for some other events, but I haven’t found anyone who can take care of it during meetings. For now, just leave your comments. If you’re new to the ScruHoo scene, then your first comment will be in the moderation queue until one of the Hooligans clears it. Also, everyone ought to check out the comments policy before posting.
