Reason #1,487 We Love Susan Fisher
ByAC-T:
Rep. Susan Fisher, D-Buncombe, followed other state legislators Wednesday in calling for an investigation into Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina’s campaign against a public health-insurance plan.
The insurer has called and sent mailers to voters urging opposition to a public plan that would compete with private insurers.
In a letter to Attorney General Roy Cooper and Insurance Commissioner Wayne Goodwin, Fisher questioned Blue Cross’s use of “the health care premium dollars of my constituents to engage in activities in violation of the intent of the Do Not Call Registry and in asking its members to mail pre-printed postcards asking their senators to oppose health care reform.â€

That’s why I dropped my BCBS policy in May—I was outraged that they were spending my premium money to fight health care for all.
Go Susan!
