Vote (and one other thing).

We’ve come full circle. Last winter we were knocking on doors, building a campaign. Spring came, and so did the volunteers. Summer came, and so did the donors. October 6th came, and this grassroots campaign was 145 votes out of first place. Now autumn is breathing her colorful symphony, and it’s time to finish what we started. We can have affordable housing, substantive sustainability measures, and a commitment to a multimodal transportation future. We can rise to our environmental aspirations, energize our local economy, and go confidently into an optimistic future.
3,592 of you voted Gordon Smith in the primary.
3,357 of you have already cast a ballot for the general election during early voting.
There are over 64,000 registered voters in the city.
I need you to vote, but you already know that. You’re among the most politically active people in Asheville. I know you’ve all got circles of friends, families, colleagues and networks. I need you to urge them to get out and vote. Call ‘em up. Send ‘em an email. Knock on their doors to remind them to play a part in Asheville’s future.
