Ten Dollar Tuesday – This Means You

By

money_usd10_08090547896_finalHappy Tuesday, Hooligans!

There are a few things I know to be true.

Over 210 people have come out to volunteer for this campaign.  That is, they’ve shown up to canvass, phone bank, work events, or kick it as an election day poll ambassador.  Dozens of them are regulars.  Hats off to every one of them.

About 270 people have donated their money to this campaign in amounts ranging from $2 to $1,510.  These people are making an investment in the future of the city, and they’re entrusting me with their confidence.  Sober gratitude goes toward all of them.

About 400 people a day read this blog.

There are 473 Supporters at the campaign Facebook page.

I’ve got 730 Friends at my personal Facebook page.

315 people follow me on Twitter.

3,573 people voted for me on Primary Election Day.

11.10% of the registered voters in Asheville cast a ballot.

And then there are hundreds of you who have spread the word to your friends, families, and colleagues.  You’ve been making a difference in imaginative ways, and you’ve supported this campaign in spirit.  You’re an invisible force moving the voter universe.  Thank you.

Now I need you to float me ten bones.

I’m nearly to the end of my fundraising, and I’m coming to you one more time, hat in hand.  Your donation will be going towards contacting likely voters.  If we get enough of those likely voters to show up on or before Nov 3rd, then this campaign for a more affordable, more sustainable Asheville will succeed.

Donate your dollars here, and know that you’re investing in Asheville’s future.
