Documenting teh Crazy
By

Crooksandliars.com has an excellent post up, regarding the 9/12 idiocy in Washington, D.C. Right-wing websites actually used Obama inauguration pictures to bolster their claim that 2 million people took part in the march; apparently, it was more like 60-70 thousand, but thanks for playing…

Stephanie Taylor was there to document teh crazy for us. Thank you, Stephanie!

Again, my question: where were all these angry people when George Bush took us into two wars, increased the size of the federal government (i.e. Dept of Homeland Security) and doubled the national debt in eight years? Mmmmm? That’s what I thought. These protests are the stuff of fear-mongering, bed-wetting, sore losers.

Wow…

Here are more policy-alternative-free signs from D.C.: http://www.flickr.com/photos/42448313@N03/3912692551/in/set-72157622224474669/
It was nice to see conservatives (instead of liberals) dressed as idiot grim reapers for a change. I’m hoping the left has gotten over that nonsense, but then I’ve been holding my breath on that for a few decades now.
I had more to say on this issue yesterday here: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/tom-sullivan/the-bile-boils-over_b_283816.html

i also realize that folks are afraid and their fear is driving their behavior. these are troubling times, i wish their concern was more directed.

“Still, you have to be aware that there’s a line where legitimate concerns begin to collapse into paranoid fantasy.â€
– Former Bush speechwriter David Frum, quoted by the Los Angeles Times, worried that the GOP base is being whipped up by extreme rhetoric and conspiracy theories.
Great. This from the guy who coined the term “Axis of Evil” and wrote a book about the George W. Bush presidency called “The Right Man”. We’ll see more rats trying to flee the crazy ship they launched over the coming months/years/decades…
