Are you asking about climate change at the same time you’re asking about health care? Because I’d love to know Kelly Miller’s position on EFCA.

Thanks for putting this up there, Gordon. It is key for progress to happen at the UN Copenhagen Climate Negotiations this December. For that, it is key for the US to send the world some sign of interest in a strong deal–passing this bill.

It isn’t as strong as I’d like, but it’s important to pass, and then later surpass, this bill.

The U.S. Chamber of Commerce is on board with efforts to derail climate change legislation:

“For the Chamber, the decision to kick off its campaign also has strategic value. Some of the group’s members, including Johnson & Johnson, have objected to the Chamber’s opposition to climate-change legislation designed to lower emissions of greenhouse gases. Focusing on a broad defense of the private sector is ‘a way to separate this debate from an individual legislative battle,’ Mr. Donohue said.”
