The Lazy Environmentalist

Josh Dorfman has a great blog. He’s coming to Asheville to promote his book, “The Lazy Environmentalist on a Budget: Save Money. Save Time. Save the Planet”.
One of the best things about being an author is giving book talks and discussing the environmental ideas, trends, and innovations that possess the power to transform our society. And there’s no better bookstore in America in which to give a talk than Malaprops in Asheville, North Carolina. My talk will take place this Saturday, April 11th at 6:30 pm, starting with a wine & cheese reception at 6pm. I write about Asheville at length in my new book, primarily in the green real estate chapter. North Carolina benefits from its own statewide residential green building standards known as HealthyBuilt Homes, which is serving as a catalyst to make affordable, green living options readily available. All you have to do is check Craig’s List for rentals to see what’s available though you’ll likely be competing with me for one of them because I’m strongly considering a move there this summer. I love the culture, the arts and music scene, the mountains, and that down-home, welcoming Southern hospitality. This Northern boy finds that even the organic grits taste good in Asheville.
