Jobs At Asheville Airport
ByPresident Obama’s Recovery and Reinvestment Act comes to Asheville:
The Asheville Regional Airport will get $7.5 million in federal stimulus money to improve its terminal, a release from Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood announced today.
Construction, remodeling, and I’m guessing more retail. Bring on the jobs!

$7.5M for the airport. $0.5M for city buses.
$4/gal gasoline will never be back, so this makes just perfect sense.

David: Shuler announces 238K for Asheville transit – so I think it’s even less than you think.
And to put it into context: 238K does not buy a single bus. Those run about 250K each – low ball.
Public transit creates more jobs than most other infrastructure – it’s just not as glamorous.
