I appreciate the time taken to put this kind of information out there.

Thanks, Arratik.

Attorney Frue’s presentation conveniently left out the fact that a big corner of the parcel they were selling was park land.

Yeah, thanks Arratik.

Looking at this, there could have been no doubt in anyone’s mind that, parkland or no, they were setting things up to have some sort of private structure right off the park. If someone owns the H&H building, and then buys the land where the old jail is for “$1.6 million an acre,” you have to wonder what they’re going to do with those properties.

I mean, if you’re playing Monopoly, and someone owns both Boardwalk and Park Place, you know damn well that they’re going to put up as many houses and hotels as they can afford.

VOTE AGAINST ALL BUNCOMBE COUNTY COMMISSIONERS NEXT ELECTION, ESPECIALLY STANLEY.
CONSIDER FILING COMPLAINTS AGAINST THE COUNTY MANAGER FOR APPROVING THE SALE OF THE PROPERTY AS PER THE AC-T.

VOTE AGTAINST ALL ASHEVILLE CITY COUNCIL MEMBERS

LET THESE PEOPLE KNOW “WE THE PEOPLE” ARE VERY UNHAPPY WITH THEIR FUDICIARY HANDLING OF PROPERTY THAT BELONGS TO THE PEOPLE AS PER THE ORIGINAL BEQUEST.

Good grief. They knew exactly what they were doing. I have only two words: eminent domain. City Council must take back our public park. If not, we’re going to vote these folks out on Election Day. On both City Council and County Commission.

Linda,

I think a lot of folks would say that the County Commission should be the ones using eminent domain. And that what city council must do is leave commissioners no other option.
