Friday Open Thread: We’re Moving!*
By
* and we don’t even need to borrow your truck!
Starting this evening, Scrutiny Hooligans will be moving to a new web host, Asheville’s own PurpleCat.net. This is an exciting new step for us, as this will hopefully resolve some of the technical issues that we’ve been having, as well as making us truly Asheville-based. All told, this shouldn’t take more than a day or two (knock on wood), and everything should be back to normal by Sunday evening. In the meantime, bear with us as everything gets backed up, moved, configured, restored, adjusted, upgraded, propagated and several other technical-sounding past-tense verbs that I can’t think of right now. After the move, our current URL (scrutinyhooligans.us) will remain the same.
Starting at around 6:00 pm, we’ll be going offline and the backup will start. Once that’s done, the “fun” really begins. In the meantime, chat it up in the open thread!
See you in a couple of days!
Kisses,
Admin Hooligan

I hope when you guys move you will end the practice of closing threads so that I can’t answer direct questions or make rebuttals. As the link above demonstrates I am very much for political migration so that Democrats and Republicans can leave each other in peace, and I find both the 50 state strategy and zoning to be big hinderances to political migration planning.
One look at Hendersonville Rd. dividing Shilo and Biltmore Forest proves beyond any doubt whatsoever that zoning is racist, as well as Asheville’s history of overtly racial zoning in the legal archives.

PurpleCat’s tech support kicks ass. I’ve been using them for three years now. Nobody else even comes close.

I know that most of our “target audience” doesn’t read Free Republic, but if they don’t they’ll miss John Armor’s farewell to Congressional candidacy.

(No, he doesn’t quote H.L. Mencken in this piece – Ralph Waldo Emerson, yes, but not Mencken)
