And Hillary in H’ville tomorrow. Looks like the Obama campaign might not bring the man himself to town. I have to think that’s a mistake. Perhaps Indiana’s the must-win next Tuesday, and the lines are drawn in WNC, but there are going to be disappointed people who’d have taken the day off work to see him, and that will count in November.
(Then again, an Obama nomination would put NC in play for the general, so we may see him in town come the fall.)

It’s not May 6th yet. You may be surprised to see a last minute event in WNC. The Obama Campaign here’s the grumbling in Asheville…

Reminder to all Hooligans: DON’T DRIVE TO UNC-ASHEVILLE FOR THIS EVENT, USE THE BUS! We are getting reports that the campus is already overrun due to several other major events going on this weekend.
In anticipation of heightened traffic on Friday night due to Michelle Obama’s visit to UNC-Asheville, Asheville Transit System will run a bus every 15 minutes from downtown Asheville to the university’s campus, from 4:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
The extra route is on top of regular bus service UNC-Asheville receives. The route will start at the main transit station on Coxe Avenue. Fare will be $1.00 each way.
University and City of Asheville officials have urged people to use Asheville Transit in order to avoid backing up traffic along Merrimon Avenue and Weaver Boulevard.
You don’t have to worry about being stranded after the speech in case it runs past 9:30. The last bus leaves UNC-Asheville at 12:45 a.m.
For additional information about bus routes to UNC-Asheville, call 253-5691 or visit http://www.ashevillenc.gov/transit.
