DFA-Asheville has endorsed:
Holly Jones and Cecil Bothwell for Buncombe County Commission
Dan Besse for Lt. Governor
Wayne Goodwin for Commissioner of Insurance
Avram Friedman for state house district 119.
Just in case anyone was wondering.

DFA-Asheville’s endorsements sure had a lot of influence in the City Council elections last year. Oh, and for those of you who never leave Montford, the county’s way more conservative.
Bothwell’s anti-Billy Graham rants will kill him this fall, and if you think Holly Jones has bug eyes now, wait ’til November 6!

Silence,
Do you mean to dissuade DFA from encouraging participation by progressives in the political process, or are we just about to get to know you as the guy who never has anything good to say about anybody?

Quite the contrary, Gordo. I’m encouraging the DFA to give it their all. Some of my best friends are progressives (thats the more marketable name for “socialists,” right? Just so we’re clear.)
And as for the “the guy who never has anything good to say about anybody” comment, I suppose in the context of my recent John Armour-is-a-horse’s-ass postings, you make a good point. But I’d say you have a pretty safe claim on that moniker, at least according to a formal straw poll at a recent, undisclosed Republican event.
Besides, I said you looked like the actor Timothy Olyphant. He’s good-looking. That was nice. And I recently called you “dangerous” in another post. Depending on the circles in which one travels, that was nice too.
And I like Elaine Lite. I think she’s, well, de-lite-ful. I wouldn’t want her stinking up the City Council chamber with patchouli and all, but she’s a sweet lady.
Nice, nice, and…nice!
