Hello From Vegas!

Personally, I prefer Ashvegas.
We’re stuck @ McCarren International Airport. Our connecting flight to Los Angeles has been delayed by almost three hours. I’m going to try to leverage that into a first-class upgrade on the way home. 
They have free Wi-Fi here. Thank goodness, because I’m sure as hell not going to play slots for three hours…

That’s exactly where we were. Gate B14.
US Airways gave us $30 in meal vouchers for our trouble, so at least we were able to have a somewhat nice sit-down dinner. It’s sad when the best restaurant in the airport is Chili’s Too.
Actually, it was pretty quiet after the mid-afternoon rush. Which was kind of a bummer, as I had my digital recorder with me and I was hoping to at least get some good blippy bloopy sounds recorded. Ah well. despite our ordeal we’re still thinking about doing a Vegas weekend sometime in the future. You’d be proud of me – I put $20 in one of the slot machines, and hit a $10 payout within thirty seconds. I immediately cashed out. (Hey, that’s ten more records @ Amoeba!)

We were stuck there for nearly 7 hours last April! Luckily we had a one day pass to the US Airways sky club. My wife won $20 bucks on the quarter slots.
