Keep up that afraid thing, everyone
ByTrent Lott says I should leave town until mid-September. Good thing Congress has escape hoods at every elevator:

And I was told not to focus on this big man with the big gun, so I didn’t get the light settings right. But walking around the Capitol, one doesn’t get the impression the guards are phoning it in. (I.e. it’s not like they’re guarding Karl Rove.) Nice flowers, though, don’t you think?

There’s still lots o’ money to be made off people who are easily frightened.
Even the container is alarmed….

You and H are more than welcome to come stay with us here in our Weaverville birdhouse until the terrorist threat level comes down.
We’re well stocked on duct tape and plastic sheeting just in case the jihadis make it over the Appalachians, but alas we have no escape hoods, so you’d have to bring your own

The freedom-lover’s solution: canned air. I think Archie McPhee (of comic book fame) used to stock it next to the rubber chickens.

Maybe it’s the Congressmen they want afraid, very afraid. Lots of voting going on right now. And, at the very least, this shows them how easily they can scare voters before the next election to vote against you.
I’m comin’ the birdhouse. Duct tape and plastic is all I need to feel fine.
