Little Orphan Ann Coulter
ByCrooks and Liars, as always, has the scoop about Coulter’s latest attack on her fellow Americans. This time, John Edwards, possible future President of the United States.
There are always news stories about Secret Service agents visiting people for making threats against the office of the US President.
I wonder if making threats against future presidents doesn’t hold some of the same weight.

I’m all for free speech but she seems to border on Hate speech most of the time. I find it difficult to believe that Ann Coulter, devout Republican, is supported by the GOP.
Does she really speak to the values of the Grand Ole Party?

I’m impressed with both. Eleanor Roosevelt could speak more openly than her husband without the negative impact, and Elizabeth’s doing the same, equally well.
As to Coulter, I think every time we mention her, we should use a modifier. “Hate criminal Ann Coulter said…”
If it gets repeated consistently, people will come to see her in exactly those terms.

Ann’s responded “This is now three years ago.” to Elizabeth’s mention that Ann had “suggested that my husband had a bumper sticker on the back of his car saying, “Ask me about my dead son.“ “Elizabeth’s point: “This is not legitimate political dialogue.”
Another tidbit:
But after Edwards left, Chris only questioned Ann about her comments on Hilary’s leg width. Why didn’t he ask her more about the negative personal attack Elizabeth mentions?
What a wimp. Great journalism instincts. Chris goes for the personal attack on a candidate’s chubby legs instead of the intensely offensive verbal assault on the non-candidate mother of a dead son. Is he afraid of offending Ann? If she’d walked off, that would have been so good for his ratings, no?

“Hate Criminal Ann Coulter” – I like it, but I’m more inclined to refer to her as “Mann Coulter”
John has further to go to win me over. However, with my support for the candidate that I’m currently enamored with heading straight for the toilet for reasons I’d rather not go into right now, all I can say is anything’s possible. It just seems like every time someone says something negative about Edwards in the press, his campaign sends out an e-mail saying “How dare they say such terrible things about him? Now send us some money to prove them wrong!” or something to that effect. That fundraising strategy is obviously effective, or else they wouldn’t keep doing it. It just doesn’t sit well with me.
Of course, the last time I gave money to any political candidate, he ended up reneging on a couple of his campaign promises… and I have a cat to feed.

As some may know not only am I German but rather from the northern Tribe of Germans know as Frieslander. We have the habit of shunning people that behave like Ann Coulter, we act as if she is dead and we do not talk about the dead…. I suggest the same here…. sometimes it is much better to just agree that a person is not worse the time and effort and therefor is like dead.
Let’s have a funeral for her and never speak of her ever again.

Hadn’t heard that rumor, Shad.
I did hear a rumor a while back that Bill Maher hit that around the time that High Crimes and Misdemeanors was published. Just a rumor, nothing more.
Does Bill Maher know all there is to know about the crying game?

Ditto to Kai’s idea. She’s obviously somewhat ill. Even if it’s all planned as a political and money-making strategy, what a sad way to live your life. I only make provoking comments when I perceive something to be seriously in need of change.
Is it the Cherokee that respect the insane and support and love them without reacting to their obviously provocative behavior? I love you, Ann. You’re wonderful. Have a nice day.
