Direct voter contact wins elections. And it wins elections in Republican counties in WNC (Watauga, Polk, Ashe, and just check out the remarkable improvement in Henderson).<BR/><BR/>Strategic planning is the best way to start improvements in direct voter contact. Any county in the 11th not having a strategic plan in place needs to be encouraged (preferably by the candidate) to do so ASAP.<BR/><BR/>Strategic planning includes publicly advertised meetings where all factions of the party (even those alienated dropouts) are invited and encouraged to participate (and even vent). The planning includes brainstorming about goals and methods. It includes letting everyone speak.
