Tom Tancredo Goes From Charles Taylor’s Town Hall Meeting to SC Hate Group

By

SPLC: “…the state chapter of the League of the South (LOS), a neo-Confederate hate group, hosted a barbeque in honor of Colorado Congressman Tom Tancredo, head of the House Immigration Reform Caucus and likely contestant in the 2008 GOP presidential primary. Proceeds from the $15 per-plate fundraiser went to Americans Have Had Enough!, a South Carolina-based non-profit coalition for which Tancredo serves as honorary chairman.

While Tancredo’s hard-line “deport ‘em all” stance on immigration has made him a favorite politician of white supremacists, this marked the first time the congressman has appeared at a hate group event.”

Tancredo appeared on Saturday with Congressman Charles Taylor at an “Immigration Town Hall Meeting”, a government sponsored event, in Flat Rock, NC. While many tried their level best to persuade this Hooligan that the anti-immigrant fervor isn’t racism in disguise, Tancredo’s association with the League of the South makes it clear what’s really happening.

“Tancredo blasted South Carolina Senator Lindsay Graham for being too soft on immigration and basked in the long applause that followed his harangues against illegal immigrants and “the cult of multiculturalism” that glorifies disunity and refuses to acknowledge the “Christian principles enshrined in the U.S. Constitution.”

Tom Tancredo, endorsed by the Ku Klux Klan and other white supremacist organizations for President in 2008, is leading a charge to make America white. He couches his agenda in code words like “cult of multiculturalism”, echoing KKK slogans from the 20th century. Charles Taylor has no business encouraging racism, covert or overt, in this country. Call his offices at (828) 251-1988, and after you get past the phone-answerer to someone who actually works with the Congressman, ask why white supremacists are teaming with Taylor and Tancredo.

Well, it’s not racism in disguise any more. I’d say it’s pretty in your face. I wonder if that paragon of a civil rights activist Mr. Gheen is highlighting this on his blog?
